A few weeks ago I was driving around my neighborhood in South Omaha and noticed A PONY hanging out on the side of the road in a penned-off area. That’s right, a freaking pony. Now, I might live in Nebraska but this is still somewhat unusual for the middle of the city.

Quite unexpected, if you will.

So today, I stopped by to snap a few photos with said pony,  but she (he?) was nowhere to be seen. Maybe I can catch her in action another day. I’m going to imagine she was in her barn prancing around to Robyn or chowing down on a horse-sized ice cream cone or something (Horses love Robyn, right? Who doesn’t?!).

Onto my look…

My dress is from Spano Vintage, an Etsy shop that I’ve stalked for a long time. I’m not sure how I found them, but they’ve been in my favorite sellers for what seems like forever.

I think their story is kind of neat, as the store is run by sisters Shannon and Gabe. They live on opposite sides of the country, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Austin, Texas and run the store together. This gives them a fantastic variety in their shop, it’s almost like two shops in one! You should definitely check them out –I’ve got my eye on a few things, like this lime green polka dot dress and this nautical halter swimsuit.

Pony Party Look: Dress: c/o Spano Vintage. Sunglasses: F21. Straw Bag: Thrifted. Scarf: Vintage via Hello Holiday. Earrings and Bow Pin: (Inherited) Vintage. Lipstick: MAC ‘Lady Danger’. Belt: Anthropologie. Sandals: Vintage via Hello Holiday.

I am in love with this dress. It’s vintage, but appears to be handmade –which is a major score in my book. The quality is always better when hand stitching is involved.

I added a big ol’ belt to cinch the waist a little bit, which I do a lot with vintage dresses with non-fitted skirts. My hair is basically a variation on my Demi-Twist tutorial. All in all, a comfortable look for a scorching hot Sunday.

Thanks again to Spano Vintage for my lovely new dress. Be sure to check out their shop!

Thank you! More women in the midwest need to rock scarves on bags. A custom very personal touch of femininity. Whats not to love?
